South Beer Farmhouse is a traditional Victorian property built towards the end of the 1890s on the lands owned by Sir Hugo de Bere. It is located away from any roads along a quiet country track at the heart of Beer Mill Nature Trails. South Beer sleeps 8+2. Pets welcome.
The Stone Barn, is a luxurious barn conversion from an original old farmyard building over 100 years old. The Stone Barn retains all its character and integrity with ragslate roof, slate floors, original timbers, bespoke doors and windows and high quality master craftsmanship and attention to detail of our local workforce evident everywhere you look. Beer Mill is a private nature reserve, east of the village of Clawton, mainly on the side of a valley sloping down to the Claw river, a tributary of the Tamar.
The entire farm covers 130 acres of various habitats including culm grassland, pasture, scrub,ancient broadleaf and newly planted woodland, quarry and wetland habitats including a variety of ponds and stream. Beer Mill has won gold awards from Devon Wildlife Trust since 2003 for working for the benefit of Devons wildlife.
